The Grey Guard (Republic) and The Grim Guard (Empire) are two guilds that function as one for recruitment and membership purposes. Two factions under one roof so to speak.

We cordially invite any mature and friendly player on the Trask Ulgo server to join us in our adventures throughout galaxy (minimum age is 18 however).

We are an active guild that has been around since launch in December 2011, with members from all over Europe as well as other parts of the world. We started out as a LotRO kin in 2007 and have managed to build a solid little community that has kept the spirits high ever since.

The primary agenda of the Grey and Grim Guard is to have fun, which among other things involves grouping, raiding, light to medium RP and just standing around chatting away in guild chat, which is mainly OOC.

What we have is a mature, friendly, relaxed environment. Some gamers find the word “casual” almost offensive. We don’t. We are casual roleplayers and casual raiders. And we’re proud of that. Most of us are enjoying our casual journey toward end-game content. We’ll definitely get there and we will be definitely be raiding regularly. But why rush it?

Now don’t get me wrong. We are all avid gamers, that’s why we still do this despite wife/husband/child agro and heavy RL workloads. Some of us love roleplaying and do it quite a lot. And some of us might possibly be the most skillful players on the server. But as a GUILD we try to keep it casual.

We don’t favour raiding over RP or the other way around. We respect all approaches to having fun in the game.

Oh and one more thing. We LOVE Star Wars! And most of us remember a world without Jar Jar Binks and Poodoo.

  The Grey Guard  

In any matter you will always find Black and White separated by a sea of grey.

And so The Grey Guard is at the ideological fringe of the Republic. We do what is necessary to push back the forces of evil. We might not always agree with the Galactic Senate or the Jedi Council. But one thing we know for sure. The Sith Empire is a real threat. And if we don’t do anything about it the entire galaxy will be held in its evil grasp.

The Grey Guard is a motley crew of Jedi knights and consulars who stick to the Jedi Code, Grey Jedi who don’t, smugglers with hearts of gold and cynical veteran troopers, all looking to give the empire a fight.

This is no goodie-two-shoe guild. No holier than thou exclusive Jedi enclave. The Grey Guard is a group of real people standing up to a real threat. We’re elegant and deadly, we're dirty and gritty. We’re blood, sweat and tears. We’ll punch you in the guts. Knee you in the nuts. And we won’t apologise. We’ll leave that to the snivelling bureaucrats on Coruscant.

All are welcome. We will not question your background or your motives, as long as you want to be a part of something bigger and help bring down the empire!

  The Grim Guard

We are of the Empire. To all eyes we are true to their struggle. Their struggle... Pathetic...of course we have our own goals, but the Empire will serve us well in our strife, at least for now.

You can find us in the ranks of the army, the divisions of the sith and in the cantinas hiring out our services as bounty hunters. We are invisible, hidden in the vast body of resources the Empire has. Resources we can bend to our own purposes.

We make sure our recruits feel taken care of, whether you are from the Navy or Army, of the sith or Bounty Hunters -there is a recruit officer from your background ready to support your growth in power

In addition to the services we provide the Empire we also have a small side operation that we do in our spare time. To further our power this threat has the main priority, overrides any other commands.

A cult of heretics, consisting of Jedi and other like-minded fools called The Grey Guard must be wiped out from the galaxy, wherever they are nesting. Only in their death will the power our ancestors promised us be released. Any items they carry must be brought to our seat of power where they will be studied by our historians. Our founding scriptures are not complete, and much knowledge has been lost to us. We know at the split of the Guardians, we managed to extract a vast part of the mutual resources, but the Grey Guard managed to lock away many of the treasures that were rightfully ours. Now that we have grown stronger it is time we took them back!

If you prove worthy the Grim Guard will bring you power beyond what anything else in the galaxy can provide. It is your destiny.
