Usernames and main characters names

To keep track of who is who in-game and on-site every member has to have a name that is easy to recognize. This usually means the name of your main character in-game. However, you don't have to use the name of your main character as username. Instead the name displayed here on the site is the name that you put as your main character in your application. Since this is required information from every recruit this usually works very well.

After playing LOTRO for some time and having more and more alts people sometimes feel stronger for an alt than they do for their main character. If this is the case and you want to be recognized as the name of your new main you can change this on the site by editing your application. Just go to "My Account", click "Edit" and "Application". Change the name of your main character and click "Save".
