Getting ready to raid
This text is a little addon, to the already exsisting Raiding Guidelines.
Its purpose is to try and help new and exsisting raiders, know more about rading and the game.
Setting up your game to raid!
There are a few key settings, that’s good to have set, and know how to use, when rading.
RAT – raid assist window
Make sure you have this on. It will show you a little window with 1 or more raid members, and what they are targeted. Usually we kill the RATs target.

Skill target forward
This option is very handy, it allows you to use skills through another target. It works like this: You hit you fellow hunter, and the skills you use is automaticly transferred to the hunters target. This is good for following RAT. It also works the other way around. You heal an enemy mob, and you heal is send to the one that has the agro of the mob. Very good for healing in boss fights.

Show vital of selections target
This is a very important option for all, it allows you to see who your target is targeting. This is not only good for tanks and healers, but also for hunters, runekeepers and champs that all of a sudden have agro.

Show only disbellable effects
This little option, removes all the small squares under your raids follows stat bars, and allows for much better overview of what is happening.

Last you’ll proberly need to rearrange some of the UI. Hit CTRL+* and start moveing things around, so you have the important info positioned right.
Learn your class!
Raids are design to be the hardest content of the game. This is not allways tru, but in most cases raids are more then hard enough. Some people believe that this demands maxed out stats, and the best equipment in the game. This is also good, but much more important, is it that you know your class. Know all the options you have, know how every skill is working, and how it can be used together with other classes. This is ofcause a neverending journey, and if it wasn’t, the game would stop being interesting very fast.
Everyone raiding should know the basic about there class, and also a little more. We are a kin full of helpful people, so one way of learning is just to ask away. Another way, is to look at he basic class guides on the internet.
Tentonhammers, guides are up to date, and very good for a basic understanding of your class, please read before you raid Jhttp://www.tentonhammer.com/lotro/guides
Dots, corruptions, debuffs and buffs
Words like this fly around and can make anyone more then usual confused. Its all about looking at the little squres under your own and fellowship members portrait, and under the enemies. In those little squares the developers selected to tells us about 90% of whats going on in the game. So its important to take a look here once in a while. Addons, like buffbar and so on, can make keeping an eye on buff, debuffs and so on a little easier.
